Bobby Allan's Bio

Bobby Allan is a New York-based actor, musician, and professional entertainer. He graduated from the prestigious acting conservatory of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and has worked in theater, film, and television ever since. His television debut was on the SyFy channel ‘How the Internet Ruined My Life’. He made his Off-broadway debut In the production ‘Twelve Steps the Musical’ at The American Theatre for Actors. Bobby Has performed in Numerous other off-broadway Productions including ‘Good Morning New York’, which holds the distinction of being the only off-broadway show to finish its run before to 2020 pandemic. He also secured a role In 'Pygmalion' at Williamstown Theater Festival in 2013, even though he only attended the festival as an intern. Because of his hard work and tenacity as an intern, he was given a chance to audition and was cast. He had the opportunity to act in a scene with lead actor Robert Sean Leonard as Henry Higgins and take direction from the master of theater direction Nicholas Martin.

 

Recent Accomplishments include playing the lead role in the new musical ‘Lighthouse the Muscial’ at the internationally renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The Musical would earn the coveted ‘Sold Out Fringe’ award which is awarded to those shows that sell out all tickets for every show at the festival, a difficult task as you try to promote with thousands of other productions competing for ticket sales. During the pandemic, Bobby continued to create and perform in numerous ways, teaming up with Venture Capital giant ‘Starta Ventures’ to create ‘Starta Studios’. This was a state of art live streaming studio where Bobby used his knowledge of film and performance to create a live performance experience, hosting open mics and jam sessions adhering to COVID safety protocols. Although currently, the project is on hold, Bobby sees the potential of live streaming as a viable future for both theater and music. Search Starta Studios on Youtube to see more.            

 

Bobby is an accomplished singer and musician. He’s been singing and playing guitar since he was seven years old. He has picked several instruments along the way including the ukulele, bass, lap guitar, and midi keyboards. He was the lead singer of the band Pet Leviathan (which most notably toured cities on the east coast in 2009) and was the principal writer of the melodies and lyrics. Ever since Pet Leviathan disbanded he has performed his own original music in numerous venues across New York City, most notably opening numerous times for the talented up-and-coming band‘Bandits on the Run’as well as ‘New York’s Got Talent’. He had the honor to play guitar in the house cabaret band at the Williamstown Theater Festival, under the direction of Broadway professional Kris Kukul, where he played with the Broadway talent attending the prestigious summer festival.  

 

Bobby also has a talent for voice-over. He has worked on multiple ad campaigns for startups like Magna Moments and Magic Kids. Magic Kids is an AR video game that educates kids through games, and he voices all the different characters in the game such as a young wizard boy, an evil witch, and a grizzled old blacksmith. He also Starred in an audio drama on Audible called Christmas Pitch.
